I've been inadvertently thrashing the site on and off today; I've actually been working on it!

I created a very preliminary "Brain Clouds API" (I have to think of a catchier name for it) that will allow one to use the administrative system of this site to create their posts using the featureset here (HTML editor, creating posts in future, time shifting posts, etc...), but through an XML interface you can retrieve that post information and show it on your own site.

For example, let's assume that someone has a site out there with a news feed (like what LGL had); you can now post all the entries here in a "virtual" blogspace and then, using the API, show them on your own website as news posts. This will of course include full RSS support and whatnot.

I can see I'm no good as explaining things... Trust me, it's useful and it's kinda neat. Not friendly yet, but that takes time.

But during my development I realized that if I inadvertently sent up something that didn't compile or did "bad things", down went the site. So I created a subdomain exclusively for the API services. Now I can screw with this API all I want without crashing the main site. Joy!

On sort of a business note, I'm gonna have to rush development of some aspects of this site because, believe it or not, someone actually wants to USE this service! What a concept! Somebody *else* might end up using Brain Clouds before I can use it for myself! Of course, that leads to some problems... they've got a real short launch window, and before they launch with this site I need to create registration pages, fix up the admin interface, create a business model, etc... etc... Lots to do, lots to do!

Yeah, and somewhere in there I'll keep working on my game. I haven't forgotten... honest!

So, it's kind of like the twitter tool that lets you show all of your tweets on your website? Or did I get it totally wrong?

Not exactly. Guess you'll just have to wait until some random site out there uses it. :)
