Walking the Edge of Reality

Superstruct is underway, and there has been a MASSIVE amount of content generated in the last 48 hours. So much content that the site itself is having a hard time presenting it all, and I somehow fear that might be turning some people away.

I have been contacted by a few asking, in essence, "OK... now what?" I admit I don't quite know the answer to that question; I know what I'm supposed to do, and I'm assuming things will become significantly clearer over the next few days.

Many are also asking "where's the game?" Well, "game" is a relative term I guess. If you came here looking for hidden messages or Vigenere cyphers, mayhaps this isn't the type of game for you. The key to this "game" is to work together towards a common goal, through collaboration of the Superstructures created on the site.

And that's not to say you can't have a little fun while you're at it. For example, my favorite Superstruct so far is the Zombie Squad.

The ReDSNet Distributed Computing Network Superstruct is going strong, and I invite everyone out there who is at least registered to "rave" it at your discretion. The first version of the app - the Flash "processor" - will be available in the next day or two. I admit I've been a little hesitant to release it because of the level of exposure it might get; I want it to work properly and not be flaky right out of the gate. And, as many of you know, Flash is not my strong suit.

The next version, although it will be a Windows version running under .NET, should be much more entertaining, and will be highly appreciated by some of the "old school" gamers out there.
