A few days ago I wrote a story on my 2019 blog about a man stepping in front of a Tri-Rail train.

That story is, in part, based on a real experience. I was on board a Tri-Rail train when somebody stepped in front of it on Commercial Boulevard. Train was in fact going 79 MPH at the time, and the person basically bounced off the front end of the train. We were delayed a few hours because, at one point, Broward Sheriff's Office "...could not find the body."

Well, today, a similar even happened: this morning a disabled man accidentally rolled off the Metro-Rail platform on to the tracks, stopping all trains and delaying me for three hours from getting to work.

Interesting about the situation was all the heresay going around during the incident. People were talking amongst themselves making up stories based on word of mouth: the person jumped, the person slipped... the person was electrocuted, the person was dead... the person was on drugs... Nobody knew, but speculation ran rampant.

And everybody was upset, borderline angry, at the guy for delaying the commute. I mean, how inconsiderate is the guy to make us late jsut because he wanted to jump in front of a train? How rude and selfish of him! Can't he step in front of a cargo freighter or something so I can get to work on time?
